CRYOGENIC AIR SEPARATION SERIES

Process Principle

The basic principle of air separation is use cryogenic rectification to condense air into liquid and separate the air according to the evaporation temperature of each component.The twostage rectification tower simultaneously obtains pure nitrogen and pure oxygen at the top and bottom of the upper tower. It is also possible to take out liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen from the evaporation side and the condensation side of the main cooling respectively. The air separation in the rect ification toweris divided into two stages, airis separated forthefirsttime in the lowertower to obtain liquid nitrogen and at the same time obtain oxygen-enriched liquid air. The oxygenenriched liquid air is sent to the upper tower for rectification to obtain pure oxygen and pure nitrogen. The upper tower is divided into two sections: with the liquidair inlet as the boundary,the upper part is the rectification section, which rectifies the rising gas, recovers the oxygen component, and purifies the nitrogen purity, and the lower section is the stripping section to remove the nitrogen components in the iquid, separated to improve the oxygen purity of the iquid.

Process Flow

1. Air compressor (screw type): Uses air as raw material, collects and compresses air to 8 bar
2. Refrigerated dryer: Standard configuration removes moisture and impurities from the air, bringing the air dew point to -20℃ (intermediate configuration uses an adsorption dryer, bringing the dew point to -40℃); Advanced configuration uses a combined dryer (dew point reaches -60℃)

3. Precision filter: A/T/C three-stage filter removes oil, dust, and impurities.

4. Air buffer tank: Stores pure, dry air as raw material for subsequent adsorption and oxygen separation.

5. Adsorption tower: A & B adsorption towers can work alternately, regenerating adsorption and filling with sodium molecular sieves to filter out oxygen molecules.

6. Oxygen analyzer: Monitors and analyzes oxygen purity in real time, indicating normal equipment operation and triggering alarms.

7. Valves & pipelines: Intelligent control valves enable fully automatic equipment operation, PLC control, SUS304 pipelines.

8. Oxygen buffer tank: Stores qualified oxygen, which can be directly piped or bottled for use.

9. Pressure regulator: Adjusts and regulates the oxygen outlet pressure (3-6 Bar).

10. Dust filter: Removes dust from the molecular sieves in the oxygen.

11. Check valve: Preventing Oxygen Backflow

12. Booster: Oxygen booster, pressurizes oxygen to the filling pressure, typically 150 bar or 200 bar

13. Pressure Regulating Valve: Regulates the pressure of the oxygen compressor

14. Filling Drain: Distributes high-pressure oxygen to individual oxygen cylinders
